Wongarra Heights Guesthouse 

Wongarra Heights Guesthouse is a gracious establishment full of old-world charm, set on a high bluff overlooking the Great Ocean Road along with panoramic southern ocean views from Cape Patton to Apollo Bay and open farmland to the north.


The farmhouse was built in the early 1900`s and included the local Post Office and a 2 line Telephone exchange, Mr & Mrs Stephens added onto their home to take in guests in 1938 and was called `Grandview` catering for about 20 guests, later taken on by their daughter Ada Groves.


This quiet guesthouse known today as `Wongarra Heights Guesthouse` `A view with a Room` is renowned for its views and allows guests to step back in time and enjoy the old-world charm & atmosphere, warm hospitality, with spectacular sunrises and colorful sunsets.


Tearoom provides morning & afternoon Devonshire Tea`s along with light lunches by LeeAnne is worth the detour on its own, but to have both views and good food, both compliment each other.


The accommodation comprises six double bedrooms 4 of which shared two bathrooms, 2 with private ensuite, and is ideal for small special interest groups such as bushwalkers, photographers, painters, bird watchers and special family re unions, small weddings, murder mystery nights or couples or singles looking for a quiet spot to relax and still be close to town amenities.


Location: Wongarra is located 12 kilometres east (10 minutes) of Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road, 175 kilometres and two and half hours from Melbourne.


Rooms: Six in-house rooms. Two upstairs rooms with access to the verandah, three downstairs rooms with access to a patio facing east, plus one other room facing west. All rooms share common rooms of a reading room, lounge/dinning room in which a full, traditional breakfast is served.
